Born in the 6 but raised in the 5, literature has always been a passion of mine. (unintentional rhyme)

When I’m not reading or writing, I am working at a local cafe as a barista like the typical liberal arts major I am. I enjoy long walks on the beach, moonlit dinners and discussing post-colonial theory over all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ. I am an aspiring teacher who hopes to bring the English and History classrooms alive once I graduate in 2017. I believe that the classroom should not be an intimidating space but one that enables and engages students to make connections between the classroom and their own lives and most importantly realize their potential to make lasting and effective changes to their lives that will only serve to benefit them in the future.
